Once you come into our Lima office, you’ll need to fill out some brief paperwork. Don’t worry, it’s very straight forward and simple. This is just to give us some general information about yourself and your condition, so we can help you better.
Once you’re settled in, and your paperwork is done, we’ll need to do a simple Chiropractic consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options.
History and Examination
In Chiropractic, like any other health profession, in order to determine what your actual problem is, we need to do a quick examination and talk to you about your health history. Once we know a bit more about you, we’ll do a few tests to determine which tissues are affected, to what extent, and how we can help.
Depending on your condition, we may need to take a few x-rays. This way, we can rule out more serious conditions, and work on developing the most effective Chiropractic treatment plan for you.
Once we’re done with the Chiropractic examination and all appropriate studies, the typical patient will be provided with their first Chiropractic treatment during this same visit. This can include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies.
Prior to leaving our office, patients will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures they can do at home. This may include ice or heat application; avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.
Schedule Your Next Appointment
To close out your first visit to our Lima Chiropractic office, we’ll help you find the best, and most convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete review of findings. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time.
